The Red Primary Care Clinic is a dedicated team of healthcare providers who care for patients of all age groups. Our provider staff is a mixture of PA’s, MD’s, Nurse Practitioners, and one Pediatrician. The clinic staff of nurses, medical assistants, and medical support assistants all work together to provide our patients with high quality and safe care.

APPOINTMENTS:

Tricare Prime beneficiaries can access appointments for acute, routine, and wellness visits by calling the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Appointment line or by visiting the Tricare Online website. In order to be seen by a specialty clinic, you must first have a referral from your Primary Care Manager (PCM). For questions about a referral, please see the Referral Section of our web site.

Walk-in appointments: You may walk in to the clinic without an appointment and will be seen by the Clinic Advice Nurse or LPN. As a walk-in, you will not be seen by a Provider unless necessary. The LPN or Advice Nurse will help determine if and when you need to be seen by a Provider. You may walk in to the clinic for the following reasons:

Sore throats
Pregnancy tests
Nutrition/weight loss information
Blood pressure checks
Depo-Provera shots (other than the initial shot)

Wellness visits: Infants and children are seen for well baby checkups at 2 weeks, and 2, 4, 6, 12, and 15-18 months. Women should have wellness exams performed annually. Routine physical exams are also considered wellness visits.

MEDICATION REFILLS & HEALTH CARE ADVICE

Telephone consultations (T-Cons): A T-Con is a message that you can leave for your provider by calling (270) 798-8706. Depending on the nature of your call, your provider or one of their support staff will contact you within three business days. Please ensure that you provide two accurate phone numbers where you can be reached. If your call is related to a medication refill, you may pick up your medication after three business days. Please note that certain medications can not be refilled without an appointment.
